PlayStation and Xbox Hacked
If you tried to access the PlayStation Network yesterday, or Xbox Live just before that, you might not have been able to get on. Why? You can thank the Lizard Squad, the hacker group that attacked both gaming networks.
The group hit Xbox Live with a DDOS (distributed denial of service) attack, which overloaded the network to make it inaccessible to users trying to log in to the gaming service.
Meanwhile, users logging on to Sony's PlayStation Network received a message stating: "Page Not Found! It's not you. It's the Internet's fault." This comes on the heels of a major hack at Sony Pictures that has seen everything from confidential information to upcoming movies released to the public.
Both services are operating fine at the time of this writing.
