Hackers Could Have Deleted Your Facebook Pics
Have you ever had photos mysteriously disappear from your Facebook account? If so, we now know why.
A developer called Laxman Muthiyah reported on his blog yesterday that he discovered a vulnerability in Facebook's Graph API that would allow him to delete pictures from other people's Facebook accounts. The Graph API is the tool used by programmers and developers to integrate software with Facebook.
Muthiyah reported the bug to Facebook and the vulnerability was sealed within two hours. Facebook also awarded him $12,500 as part of their bug bounty program.
