eBay Hacked: Why You Should Consider a Password Tool
On May 21, 2014, eBay reported that they were hacked and have asked users to change their passwords. A password management tool can help you stay more secure.
Yesterday, eBay reported that one of their databases was hacked between late February and early March 2014. The compromised data includes eBay customers’ names, encrypted passwords, email addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers and dates of birth.
eBay recommends that their users update their passwords. Read eBay's alert. They said they have no evidence of unauthorized access or compromises to personal or financial information for PayPal users.
Even if you don't have an eBay account...
You should use different passwords for every site you access (especially banking sites) so that if one site gets hacked, you do not have to change passwords on all of the other sites. A password management tool can help you keep track of your passwords.
