Critical Adobe and Microsoft Updates
Adobe and Microsoft both released updates for Update Tuesday today.
Adobe released an update today to patch nine security flaws in Flash Player. The vulnerabilities are not known to have been exploited yet, but it's always a good idea to make sure to keep your software up to date in order to avoid potential issues hackers may discover. The most recent update, which you can find on Adobe's website, but if you don't want to also install a McAfee Security Scan, make sure you uncheck that option. This update will bring Windows and Mac OS users up to version 220.127.116.117.
Microsoft's update fixes a vulnerability in Windows 8.1 that was reported by Google a few days ago. According to a policy of Google's, they publicly announce security flaws 90 days after reporting them to software vendors. That time period passed over the weekend, causing a little bit of drama between Microsoft and Google.
