Credit Cards Compromised at Hershey Park
If you've been to Hershey Park, the chocolate-themed amusement park and resort in Hershey, PA lately, you will want to check your credit card statement for fraudulent charges.
A number of people have reported fraudulent charges on their credit cards recently that were traced back to a commonality of having been used at Hershey Park. The timeline of the breaches are between the middle of March and the end of May. Compromised cards were used at a number of locations in the park, including the Hershey Lodge, ticket stations and concession stands.
Kathleen McGraw, communications director for Hershey Entertainment and Resorts, acknowledged receiving the reports of having been hacked and says they started looking into the breach as soon as they were notified. They have hired a security firm and the investigation is ongoing.
